The Darkness of My Stories
In film, a “fade to black” is often used to signal a scene’s end, letting the audience fill in the blanks. My stories don’t allow for that. I want to immerse you fully in what my characters experience—every dark beginning, every morally gray choice, and every complex, non-human romance. These are not easy stories, for the path to a happily ever after is never effortless. Just as a steak’s flavor is tied to the cow’s demise, a story’s ultimate triumph is tied to the characters’ struggles. While some may not find this content extreme, a warning is included for those with a more delicate sensibility.
